A Modest Proposal

A Modest Proposal

My Darling Meredith, I am asking you
To Offer your hand to me at this time.
But, just so the words will express my true view,
I asked a professor to put them in rhyme.

It was just five years ago that we first began,
We saw "Problem Child" (with your popcorn)
As I recall,
I guess I knew then, that I'd always be your man,
Yes, we've held it together through each rise and fall.

You've been so special to me, to say the least,
Your advice and guidance helped me find my way.
And, as you are the Beauty, I'll always be your Beast,
With the strength of Gaston, let's build tomorrow today.

So, please say yes, fair maiden, and let us capture
All the beauty and wonder of our fairy tale life,
Come live and love with me in eternal rapture...
In other words, Meredith, will you be my wife?

With All My Love,
George
