But that's not necessarily a bad thing when the business is writing personalized poetry for people's loved ones. "A lot of people love their families with all their hearts and cannot say that," Dougherty said. So Dougherty and her mother decided to put their pens to paper and speak on their behalf. The idea came to the two women when they considered writing greeting cards and poetry as a way to start a home business. But that didn't seem personal enough, Huray said.
