Beautiful Purple Flowers

Wednesday was one of the worst days of my life and I'd much rather not talk about it here.

I went to the Readalong Program volunteer orientation at 1:30 pm after my eye exam this morning. My maternal grandmother, Poh Poh, had her eye appointment right after mine and I translated things into Cantonese for her as I usually do when we take her to see our opthalmalogist. Because I have been wearing my contacts up until before I went to bed last night, I had to reschedule an appointment with the doctor next week. This means I will need to refrain from wearing my contacts until my next appointment. I have never really given much thought over laser eye surgery, but my mother suggested that I ask for his opinion when I go see him again next week. The technology is still relatively new and one always runs the risk of having unalterable side effects. I may consider it in the future when it becomes more commonplace and when more improvements are made on it.

On a more cheerful note. Mike surprised me by having a vase of purple flowers delivered to my house yesterday afternoon. Here's a picture of it if you're curious. Thanks, Mike! =)
