Happy New Year's Eve!
So I have been home since last Tuesday and have been busy since my foot landed inside the house. I have mostly been busy with dinner parties that were thrown by my friends and family and suffice it to say, I was too lazy to write in here.
My blog has been neglected as of late and I have nothing of substance to contribute at the present other than a recount of the events that happened in my life thus far. I met up with Viv the afternoon of Christmas Eve and hung out in the neighbourhood near the house that her parents had just recently bought and moved into. She gave me a tour of her new-old house, which is still in excellent condition despite it being about a decade old. Much fun was to be had as we gorged on crepes, bubble tea and dark chocolate fondue with frozen strawberries, kiwi slices and cream puffs at Kat's Tea Hut. The owner of the place used to go to the same high school as Viv and is only two or three years older than us.
Today, I met up with a few of my old high school friends at Milestone's on Lougheed Highway. It was very good to see and talk to them again and it felt just like old times. I find that people don't really change much after high school. We may have changed outwardly, but we are still the same naive high school kids at the core. We still talk and joke around in much the same way as we did almost 5 to 10 years ago. It is scary to think that it will be 2005 tomorrow and much scarier to know that we all began high school as a bunch of wide-eyed 13 year olds a decade ago. Has it truly been 10 years since we began high school? Time flies.
